Getting Here

Hill View Cottage is located in the small village of Low Row, Swaledale.

NB please don't rely on Google Maps to find the cottage as it is not sufficiently accurate in our remote village!  Detailed directions are as follows:

By car:  exit the A1 at Catterick (if driving from the South) or Scoth Corner (if driving from the North) and follow signs to Richmond, then Reeth.  After Reeth its about a 10-minute drive along the B6270.  You'll see the sign for Low Row as you enter the village, with the Punch Bowl Inn on the right hand side.  Carry on a few hundred metres and then take the lane to the right that goes in front of the Literary Institute.  You can park on the common land to the left (looking upwards) of the row of cottages, Hill View is the second cottage as you walk along the path.

By public transport:  the nearest railway station is in Darlington.  From there you can get bus X26 to Richmond (takes around 40 minutes) and then change to bus 30 from Richmond towards Keld.  Get off at the stop outside the Punch Bowl Inn and walk around 300m (2 mins) to the lane to the right past the literary Institute.  The cottage is just behind the Institute, the second one along the row of cottages.
